I’ve been using 650 as my base size. 636 is ridiculously specific. But this is Kinja.

Normally go with 640, since that feels more normal. Also easy to do google image search for images that are at least 640x480.

How do you do a search like that? If I want to use a pic that is too small, I usually just save it and enlarge it.

Click “Search Tools” (in the middle, below the search box). The select “Size” > “Larger than...” > “640x480”
